Brown tallied 1,162 points in only two and a half seasons at LTI. During the 1965-66 season, Brown standing only 6'3" led the small colleges in the nation in rebounding with 26.1Â per game. That average at the time was the highest in ten years as Brown added to his fantastic season by scoring 24.2Â points per game to pace his teammates to a 17-2 record. His one game scoring record (48 points) and his single-game rebound record (37Â rebounds) still stand as a LTI mark. Brown was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 9th round with the 99th pick in 1967 in NBA Draft and he played in the Eastern Basketball League with the Bridgeport Flyers (1967) and for the Hartford Capitals (1968).
