Redshirt-junior guard Christian Lutete (Silver Spring, Md.) has been named America East Player of the Week and River Hawk of the Week.
 
Lutete averaged 24 points and 9.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the River Hawks. He shot 61 percent from the floor and added two assists, as well.
 
The guard started the week with 13 points and 11 rebounds against UAlbany on January 16, good for his seventh double-double this season. Over the weekend, he then propelled the River Hawks to a comeback win at Hartford on Jan. 19 with a career-best performance that included seven three-pointers made and 35 total points.
 
So far this season, Lutete is averaging 18.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game to pace UMass Lowell.
