LOWELL, Mass – Junior attackman
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alta.) and junior defender
Will Puduski (Westford, Mass.) of the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team were named co-captains by Head Coach
Ed Stephenson as part of the River Hawk leadership team, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Sean Tyrrell are exceptional students, selfless leaders, and always prepared. They communicate effectively with their teammates, and make appropriate adjustments relative to the circumstances."
Junior midfielder
Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.) will represent the junior class on the leadership team, to go along with sophomores
Blaine McMahon (New Milford, Conn.), goaltender
Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) and Will Russo.
Bryce Holak (Duluth, Minn.) and
Cam Hult (Nashua, N.H.) will represent the incoming freshmen class in the River Hawk leadership group.

Jon Phillips this year, he is one of our top students, he is very coachable, picks up concepts immediately, and his execution is flawless.
Blaine McMahon continues to emerge as one of our top leaders in the classroom and on the field.
Grant Lardieri is studying to become a doctor, he has a perfect 4.0 GPA and he continues to be an integral leader."

Jared Zaniewski (Sandwich, Mass.) will once again serve as team representatives on the River Hawk Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the second straight season. Zaniewski will also continue to serve his post on the SAAC Executive Board.
"Will Russo works extremely hard in the classroom and on the field. Our two freshmen reps, Cam and Bryce, show good potential."Â
The River Hawks open their third Division I season on Saturday, February 11
th against Patriot League foe Boston University. Game time from Cushing Field Complex in Lowell is 1 p.m.
