Biko Paris, who enters his tenth year at UMass Lowell in 2022-23, joined the River Hawks' coaching staff following a four-year career at Boston College and a one-year stint as a professional in Dusseldorf, Germany's BBL Pro ‘A’ League in 2011-12.

Over the course of his collegiate tenure, Boston College went 72-52 and went to the NCAA Tournament in 2009, where the Eagles lost to USC (52-55) in the Midwest Regional; and the NIT in 2010-11, where they defeated McNeese State (82-64) but fell to Northwestern (85-67) in the second round.

Paris enjoyed his best year as a senior when he averaged 10.3 points and 2.2 assists and led the Eagles to a 21-13 record.

During his junior year at Boston College, he ranked seventh among ACC leaders in assists (4.1) and assist-turnover ratio (1.7). As a senior, he ranked sixth in the ACC in 3-point field goals per game (2.2) and ninth in accuracy (.416).

As a sophomore, Paris was named the recipient of the 2008-09 Frank Power Award, presented to the player who exemplifies dedication, loyalty and spirit to the Boston College basketball program.

A 2007 graduate of Cypress Community Christian High School in Houston, Texas, Paris led the Warriors to back-to-back Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Class 4A state titles, including a 39-3 record as a junior and a 35-6 clip as a senior. He was named to the TAPPS Class 4A First Team both years.

Previously, Paris attended John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, La.

A native of New Orleans, La., Paris graduated from Boston College with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2011 and added a master's degree in criminal justice from UMass Lowell in 2018.
