Biography
ABOUT EMMA: Emma joined the UMass Lowell softball team through Team IMPACT on March 3, 2017. The five-year old was born legally blind with cataracts and a cardiac anomaly, both of which required surgery in the first weeks of her life. She has also been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Despite all of her medical issues, Emma is a happy and easy-going child, who loves to be around people, including her moms and four siblings. She enjoys life to the fullest, and truly displays what it means to be a fighter. The young Lowell resident says her favorite movies are Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. Emma's favorite foods are hotdogs and French fries. Her family has several pets that she loves too, including a gecko and two dogs.
