BOSTON – After setting a program record for most points and goals in a collegiate debut, UMass Lowell women's lacrosse freshman attack
Chloe Bowers (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
In Sunday's season opener at Sacred Heart, Bowers tallied five goals, including her first career goal, to help lead her team to a 15-7 victory over the Pioneers. The freshman also added her first collegiate assist in the third quarter for a game-high six points. Making plays all over the field, Bowers also contributed with a caused turnover and a draw control.
The River Hawks return to action when they play hosts to local rival Merrimack on Wednesday, February 14, in the team's home opener. Opening draw is set for 2 p.m.
