(1985) - The holder of nine University of Lowell baseball records, Paul Hamilton helped lead the Chiefs to three post-season tournament berths including the school's first ever NCAA Division II Regional Tournament appearance in 1979 during his four years playi8ng for head coach Jim Stone. Finishing his career with a .331 batting average, the swift Hamilton ranked first on the ULowell (post-merger) all-time lists in games played (121), at bats (429), runs scored (98), hits (142), triples (12), stolen bases (36) and total bases (223).
As a junior, Paul set the school record for stolen bases in a season with 19 as the Chiefs were selected for their second ECAC Division II-III tournament. Co-captain his senior year with fellow Hall of Famer Tom Jacobs, he hit .388 with five home runs and 24 runs batted in to help ULowell into NCAA post-season tournament play for the first time.
Paul was named to the All-New England Division II first team at third base as a senior.
