(1984) - The finest sprinter in University of Lowell track history, many Harry Riley's accomplishments still stand for today's springs at UMass Lowell to shoot at. Of the numerous track and field All-Americans in ULowell's illustrious track history, Riley was the only runner to earn All-American status in a running event shorter than 5K meters. In 1976, Harry finished third in the NCAA Division III national championships to lead ULowell to an impressive fourth place team finish and was one of five All-Americans that year.

Indoors, Riley was the 1976 IC4A champion in the 440 yard dash with a time of 48.3 seconds. He would also win the New England championship in the same even and the Eastern League crowns in both the 60 yard sash and the 600 yard run. He was the first ULowell track athlete to ever qualify for the NCAA's Division I Indoor Track & Field championships.

Outdoor, in addition to his All-American performances in 1976, Riley was the New England's best in the 440 yard dash and the Eastern League's best at 220 and 440 yards. He was the only ULowell trackman to ever win a New England title both indoors and outdoors (440 yard dash).

Considered by coach George Davis to be the finest sprinter in ULowell's track history, Riley held or still holds school records indoors for the 60, 440 and 600 yard events and the 200 and 400 meter springs outdoors
